1. Introduction

TravelGo is the marketplace brand for ordering food and groceries, booking transport (such as taxis and vans), trips and tours in General Luna and surrounding areas on Siargao Island. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website and mobile apps (distributed on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store). Provide this URL in Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console as your privacy policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws relevant to consumers and listing requirements from Apple and Google.

Who operates the service

In this Policy, "we", "our" and "us" refer to the Philippines-based company that operates the TravelGo platform and local services in Siargao—the Philippine party responsible for delivering the TravelGo experience, customer support coordination, fulfilment logistics, restaurant and rider networks, app content, and the personal data processed for those purposes.

Stripe (card payments) and the UK facilitation entity

Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay (where available) routed through Stripe are acquired by Stripe and may identify EDS Dorchester Ltd, a United Kingdom incorporated company acting as Stripe account holder to facilitate TravelGo's checkout where Stripe card payments are offered. Stripe processes payment identifiers and billing details for payment—in line with Stripe's privacy policy—not for TravelGo advertising. Your statement may show EDS Dorchester Ltd or a Stripe descriptor alongside your TravelGo purchase.

2. International processing and disclosures

When you choose methods processed by Stripe, payment data flows to Stripe and Stripe's subprocessors—including infrastructure outside the Philippines—as required for authorisation and settlement. GCash/Maya/card flows through PayMongo may similarly involve processors outside your country subject to PayMongo's terms. Operational hosting, push delivery partners, diagnostic logs, email, and WhatsApp tooling may likewise use infrastructure or vendors in other jurisdictions. Where required by law, transfers use appropriate safeguards (such as contractual terms offered by Stripe, PayMongo, or our hosting vendors).

3. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Contact details: Name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email address
  • Delivery address: Location, landmark, room/floor, guest name
  • Order details: Items ordered, quantities, preferences, special requests

When you use our mobile app, we may also collect device information (e.g., device type, operating system) necessary for app functionality and to improve our service.

We store push notification subscription identifiers for devices where you enable notifications so we can send transactional alerts (for example order accepted, rider assigned, and delivery updates).

For driver, taxi, and van workflows, we process precise location while active deliveries/trips are in progress so customers and dispatch can track trip progress.

4. Payment Information

We accept cash on delivery, PayMongo (GCash, Maya, card), and Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) on our website and mobile app. We do not store full payment credentials. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party providers:

  • Cash on delivery: No payment data is collected. Our driver collects cash when delivering your order.
  • GCash, Maya, and card (PayMongo): Payment is processed by PayMongo. We do not store full card numbers or e-wallet credentials. PayMongo's policies apply.
  • Stripe: Payment is processed by Stripe (including Apple Pay / Google Pay when available). We may store payment intent references for support. Stripe's privacy statement: stripe.com.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To process and fulfill your orders
  • To communicate with you (e.g., order updates, delivery status)
  • To contact you via WhatsApp or phone regarding your order
  • To improve our service and user experience
  • To handle refunds when applicable

6. Data Sharing

We may share your information with:

  • Restaurants: To prepare your order
  • Drivers: To deliver your order (name, address, phone)
  • Payment processors: PayMongo and Stripe—only to process payments
  • Service providers: Hosting, push delivery, and operational diagnostics providers acting on our instructions

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. This applies to all users, including those on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

7. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Payment details are handled exclusively by our payment providers (PayMongo, Stripe) in accordance with their security standards.

8. Data Retention

We retain order and contact information as needed to provide our services, handle refunds, and comply with legal requirements. For card payments, we store only the last 4 digits and card brand for refund purposes—not full card details.

When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize profile/contact fields and disable login. Some operational records (for example orders/bookings and accounting references) may be retained where legally required.

9. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. In-app account deletion is available from account/settings screens. You can also contact support via WhatsApp or the contact details provided on our website.

If you are in the European Economic Area or other regions with data protection laws, you may have additional rights including the right to data portability, to restrict processing, and to object to processing.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. App Store Disclosures

Apple App Store: If you use our app on an Apple device, you can manage your data and privacy preferences through your device settings. Apple may collect certain data as described in their privacy policy.

Google Play:If you use our app on an Android device, you can manage your data and privacy preferences through your device and Google account settings. For Google Play's Data Safety requirements, we disclose that we collect contact and order information for service delivery, and we do not sell user data.
